Book Description

Let It Shine! Cambodia!

The first step towards a better world is to make your homeland a better place. Thavry has been involved in various community-building work since 16; helped children in her village to read and raised awareness for a clean living environment. There are ten beautiful short stories in this small book: teaching children to draw; helping the aboriginal people to fight for their land rights against development; writing children's books to enhance literacy; leading bike tours for township clean-ups; creating happy memories for children by painting a school; and participating volunteer works for disabled children.

Her writing is honest and direct. She has a pure heart to feel for the serious problems in her society. With passion and a big smile, she seizes every opportunity to devote herself totally to make a difference. Such belief is direct and touching. Such decisive actions lead us to believe: positive changes come through actions. Thavry's word is a light of warmth and hope.
